Contest Rules and Restrictions

Texans will be giving away one $2,500 Visa Gift Card each month from May – December to a member who meets the following criteria during that month:

• 25 signature-based check card transactions over $5³
  

• Maintain an average daily balance of $2,500 in your Texans checking account¹
  

• Use Texans Bill Pay to pay 5 bills (to a third party) totaling at least $250²

Member can be entered one, two or three times depending on the criteria they meet.

 

20,000 Thank You’s Promotion Rules

ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. The Texans Credit Union 20,000 Thank You's Promotion Contest (“Contest”) is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years or older at the time of entry and a member in good standing of Texans Credit Union at the time of entry and at the time of drawing. For complete details concerning eligibility for membership, please visit www.texanscu.org. No employee, officer, agent, or directors (or any immediate family member or member of the same household) of Texans Credit Union, or those of its affiliated or subsidiary companies, their licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers or advertising or promotion agencies, or any other company associated with the contest is eligible to participate. Some restrictions may apply. This Contest is void where prohibited by law. 20,000 Thank You's prize winners are not eligible to win another Texans contest for at least 6 months.

PRIZE: One winner will be selected each month to receive a $2,500 Visa Gift Card. Prize is subject to IRS tax reporting. TCU will not be responsible for any act of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage, force majeure, or other event, condition, or occurrence outside the control of TCU that may cause the failure to deliver any part of the prize or the entire prize. There will be no substitutions for the Prize unless so determined by TCU, in its sole discretion.

HOW TO ENTER: Members will receive one entry into the monthly drawing for meeting each of the following criteria during a calendar month: Using a Platinum Texans Check Card for 25 signature check card transactions (i.e., non-PIN-based) over $5 during the calendar month and/or maintaining an average daily balance of $2,500 in a Texans Checking Account during the calendar month and/or using Texans Bill Pay to pay 5 bills to a third-party totaling at least $250 during the calendar month. Entries from unauthorized card use or lost, stolen, or fraudulent Debit Cards are void. To enter without one of the qualifying transactions, members, or those eligible for membership, may send a 3” x 5” white card with your handwritten name, address, phone number, date of birth and the words “20,000 Thank You's” to: Texans Credit Union, 20,000 Thank You's, Attn: Lisa Krenek, P.O. Box 853912, Richardson, TX 75085-3912. Limit of three entries per person, per calendar month. Entries will not be accepted in person. By entering this contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of TCU. Entries must be postmarked no later than the last day of the month received to be eligible for that month’s Contest drawing. This Contest is subject to cancellation at any time without prior notice. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of TCU and will not be acknowledged or returned.

RANDOM DRAWING: Prize will be awarded to one entrant each month, the primary account holder on the qualifying transactions account, chosen by random selection in a drawing from all eligible entries. The drawing will be held no later than the 15th of each month for entries received the previous month. Odds of winning are based upon the number of valid entries received each month. The decisions of TCU, including the selection of the Winner, are final and binding on all matters related to the Contest.

NOTIFICATION: The Winner may be notified by phone, email or regular mail.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY/PUBLICITY RELEASE: By participating in the Contest and submitting an entry, all entrants consent and agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements. By participating in the Contest and submitting an entry, each entrant and the Winner agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and fully release TCU and its subsidiaries, affiliates, franchisees, licensees, employees, agents, independent contractors, and advertising or promotional agencies from any and all liability for any injuries, obligations, losses, death, or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession, quality, use or misuse of the Prize, or any portion of the Prize or travel related to the receipt or use of the Prize. Each entrant and the Winner grants to TCU and each of its affiliates, agents, and representatives the right to depict, publish, publicize, license, and/or exploit all or part of their name and likeness, for advertising, promotional, and trade purposes in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without notice and without compensation, except where prohibited by law.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: TCU and its agents, affiliates, or representatives may not be held responsible or liable for any printing or typographical errors in any Contest-related materials, any stolen, late, or misdirected entries, or any lost, damaged, garbled, delayed, damaged, incomplete, or illegible entries. Contest entries generated by a computer-generated script, macro or other mechanical or automated means (including photocopies) will be disqualified. Signature-based Debit Card transactions of less than $5 are not eligible for entry. TCU and its agents, affiliates, or representatives are not responsible and may not be held liable for incorrect, inaccurate transcription or loss or delay of entry or prize reply information, or any viruses transmitted to computers of entrants via the Internet, or for any technical or human errors associated with the Contest. If, in the sole judgment of TCU, this Contest becomes compromised in any way, TCU reserves the right to withdraw the Contest offer, cancel any method of entry, void any entries submitted fraudulently or select Winners from the eligible entries received prior to the act that compromised the Contest.

Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Contest is unlawful and subject to legal action by TCU. TCU shall have the right to disqualify any contestant for violation of these Official Rules or any applicable laws relating to the Contest and to resolve all related disputes in its sole discretion. TCU and its agents and affiliates (i) make no warranty, guaranty, or representation of any kind concerning the Prize, including its quality, merchantability or fitness, and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty concerning the Prize.

WINNERS’ LIST: For a list of Winners, mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Texans Credit Union, Attn: Lisa Krenek, P.O Box 853912, Richardson, Texas 75085-3912. Winners' list requests must be made by January 30, 2009.

DISPUTES: As a condition of participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, before a court of competent jurisdiction located in Dallas County, Texas, under the laws of the State of Texas (without regard to conflicts of law principles). Each entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses.
